This was the first real recipe I ever tried to make, and it has since become a staple.
Directions:
1. Halve and clean 4-5 peppers - parboil approx 5 min. (optional)
2. Cook about 1/2 cup rice until not quite done
3. Brown 1 lb. hamburger and 1 diced onion
4. Combine browned meat with rice. Add 1 tsp parsley and salt and pepper to taste.
5. Lay peppers on their side and fill with mixture. Top with spagetti sauce, bread crumbs, and a dab of butter.
6. Bake 350 for 1 hr.
They would probably be delicious with ground turkey as well....
Note: cooked peppers do not keep well, so eat them quickly!
